    Apple crumble for breakfast? Sold! This apple crumble porridge will satisfy any apple crumble (or even pie) craving with half the calories as the real thing.

    Apple Crumble Porridge

    Apple Crumble porridge is a great way to start the day! With healthy apples, raisins and nuts it will keep you full for hours.

    Ingredients

    Metric - US Customary

    For the porridge:

    • 1 cup oats
    • 2 ½ cups almond milk
    • 2 apples - grated
    • 2 teaspoon cinnamon
    • 1 tablespoon maple
    • 2 tablespoon raisins

    For the crumble:

    • 4 tablespoon almonds - chopped
    • 2 tablespoon pumpkin seeds
    • 2 tablespoon flaxseed

    Instructions

    • Put the oats and almond milk in a pan, bring to a boil and then reduce to a simmer.
      2 ½ cups almond milk, 1 cup oats
    • Stir continuously.
    • Once the oats start to thicken, add the cinnamon, maple, grated apple and raisins.
      2 apples, 2 teaspoon cinnamon, 1 tablespoon maple, 2 tablespoon raisins
    • Stir constantly over a low heat until you reach the consistency you like.
    • Serve in bowls and add all of the crumble ingredients on top.
      4 tablespoon almonds, 2 tablespoon pumpkin seeds, 2 tablespoon flaxseed
